Fishing in the Islands contains two stories.

Pulemau Taumateine shares what life is like growing up in the small Samoan fishing village of Nofoalii. With only a spear and an outrigger canoe made by his father, Taumateine goes spearfishing with his brother to catch fish to sell at the market.

Te Lama Mai Nanumanga (Catching Flying Fish at Night in Nunamanga) by V Setema
In the island nation of Tuvalu, they use a traditional method called Te Lama to catch flying fish. Setema explains how groups of fishermen use this unique method in Nunamanga to catch enough fish for their families.
