Run by AI expert Dr Kara Kennedy, this workshop builds on the knowledge gained from our previous AI workshop, which introduced participants to the basics of AI and how to get started. This year, the focus will be: • Hands on learning • Discussions about advanced prompting • Features of AI tools • Custom AI tools for commonly performed tasks • Strategies for teaching learners about responsible and ethical AI usage • Privacy and ethical considerations when inputting data into AI tools. Dr Kara Kennedy is an independent scholar, author and educator in the areas of digital and AI literacy, technology and science fiction. She has presented on digital and AI literacy at conferences in the US, Australia, and Aotearoa, New Zealand. She is managing the AI Opportunity Project at Literacy Waitākere.
