AI Literacy Short Course
About the course
Learn the basics of how AI works, what it’s useful for, what to watch out for, and how you can use it in your life or work.
- Explore using Generative AI tools to find information, learn and study, apply for jobs, and bring ideas to life.
- This course covers Google Gemini, NotebookLM, and other AI apps.
There are two options, online and face- to-face.
The online course takes around 15 to 18 hours, completed at your own pace, with opportunities to speak with a tutor at specified times.

The face-to-face course runs at our New Lynn centre on Thursdays from 9.30 to 12:30 noon for four weeks.
The next course, which is aimed at ESOL learners, will run from Thursday 30 July to 20 August. Places are limited.

We work with adults (16+) who are NZ Citizens or Residents and who are not already enrolled in full-time learning.
